'71 Class A State Baseball Champions - Russia Raiders

431. Tyler Zeller's closeout on Austin Rivers at the end of the Duke-North Carolina game last night was one of the worst closeouts by a college basketball player that I have ever witnessed - what did he think Rivers was going to do with the ball 22 feet from the hoop with 1.2 seconds remaining???
432. Lindsay Grogean Mayer was able to hear Aron Rolston speak and had the chance to take her picture with him at a conference last year - she said it was amazing - notice his missing right hand
433. many thanks to my friend Barney who gave me a GRAPE CRUSH last night - only the second that I have had in about the last 20 years.  I see ORANGE CRUSH all the time, but I never see GRAPE CRUSH - if you ever see any, feel free to pick me up a six pack - I will pay you back for sure - GRAPE CRUSH ROCKS!!!
434. one of my only memories about the 1971 Class A state baseball championship was Art May of May's Quick print had bumper stickers for everyone to put on their car on the ride home -

440. a neat wedding proposal - From some dude named Joe in Cincinnati:
Last weekend I proposed to my girlfriend. She works for the Reds and so I thought it would be awesome to do it there. A couple weeks in advance, I spoke with one of her managers about an idea I had and she informed me that it could happen. So, the day it happened I got off work early and headed to the stadium. When I arrived I was escorted to the Reds dugout. Before I got there, I placed a note on one of the seats and then I hid in the dugout with two dozen roses. One of her managers told her that she needed to count some seats in the diamond club. When she got down to the seats she saw the note and before she could even realize what it said our song started playing over the loud speakers and the picture of the two of us showed up on the scoreboard. I walked out and met her by the seats and asked her to marry me. A few seconds later we heard all of this screaming and yelling from the club section. Everyone she works with was up there watching the whole thing. It was awesome and definitely a day that we will never forget. I later contacted everyone at the Reds and told them how much I appreciated everything and that I am an even bigger Reds fan!!!!
