235. the latest stock index to hit wall street is now official - THE HOOD ORNAMENT 44 - an index of 44 stocks picked exclusively by Hood Ornament readers is now an official index - we will be tracking this index against many other major market indices over the course of the next 12 months.  The index got off to a great start yesterday by rising 2.74 %. We will say that our index began the day at 100.00 - therefore, it closed at 102.74.  (I only used everyone's yearly picks and Jeremy and Ken both picked Apple - thus only 44 stocks in our index.)
