217. Don't Forget - I will be running a stock picking contest (actually 2). Submit five stock picks for the month of January and five for 2012 (one or more can be the same). I will keep track of all picks both individually and collectively. I will update the standings frequently and announce prizes for monthly, quarterly, and yearly winners!! We will have an index of all of our picks similar the the S&P 500 or Russell 2000. We will call it the Hood Ornament 100 or however many stocks we have in our "portfolio".

d. occupy Wall Street protesters
e. the Minster Wildcats win state in Division IV boys baseball
f. the Houston Wildcats are regional champions in Division IV boys basketball and advance to state for the first time ever
g. rest in peace - Ed Bruns, Fr. Leo Hoying, Kenny Luthman, Lyn Belcher, Shep Simon, Seve Ballesteros, Harmon Killebrew, Bob Forsch, Dave Gavitt, Walt Hazzard, Al Davis, Lorenzo Charles, Dan Wheldon, Chuck Tanner, Robert "Tractor" Traylor, Hideki Irabu, and last, but certainly not least - my great friend, and father-in-law James L. Raterman - you are missed so much every day
